Groundwork

Contact Us

One email address, an honest team behind it, and a straight answer about what a study site can and can’t do for you.

The one reliable way to reach Groundwork is email: hello@pass-aswb.com. There is no phone queue and no chatbot — a small, independent team reads what comes in and answers the messages that need an answer. Write to us about a question that looks wrong, a bug in the quiz or the app, a topic you wish we covered, or anything else about this site. For the things a study site genuinely cannot do for you — registering your exam, telling you whether you passed, or confirming your eligibility — this page also points you at the offices that actually can.

Send anything to hello@pass-aswb.com. We are a small team, not a call centre, so give us a few working days — and if your message is about a specific question or a bug, a few concrete details turn a week of back-and-forth into a single reply. The difference between “a question seemed off” and a fix we can ship the same day is usually four lines:

  • Which exam you are prepping — Bachelors, Masters, Advanced Generalist or Clinical — so we read your message in the right context.
  • The device and browser, if it is a bug — an iPhone, a laptop, Chrome or Safari. The quiz on this site runs anywhere; the Groundwork app is iOS-only, and that detail alone often explains what you are seeing.
  • The exact question text, or the page you were on, if it is about a specific item — a line we can search for beats “the ethics one near the end.”
  • A screenshot when something looks broken. It costs you ten seconds and saves us from guessing at your screen size, your settings and your connection.

The line we draw

What we can — and can't — help with

Groundwork is a study resource, not a licensing office, so there is a hard line down the middle of our inbox. On our side of it we are fast and genuinely useful. On the other side, anything tied to your candidacy — your registration, your score, your eligibility for a title in your jurisdiction — is owned by ASWB, Pearson VUE and your own board, and only they can give you an answer that is both current and binding. The exam is also mid a 2026 blueprint change, so we do not quote its length, timing, fees or a pass rate as if they were fixed — the current specifics live with aswb.org and the ASWB Examination Guidebook, not with us.

A question that looks wrong, or an explanation you would sharpenRegistering, rescheduling or paying for the exam — aswb.org and Pearson VUE

We keep this split honest on purpose: sending you to the office that can actually act beats a friendly-but-useless reply from us a week later.

A small team

Who you are writing to

The reply comes from the same small team that builds the practice questions — people who care that a vignette reads the way the exam actually asks and that every answer has a reason attached. We would rather ship one corrected explanation than a page of marketing, which is also why the practice on this site is free and the iOS app is simply the same drilling in your pocket. If you want the longer version — who we are and how we build this, and why we keep the free quiz free — the About page has it.

FAQ

Before you email

Are you ASWB, or can you get a message to them?

No. Groundwork is an independent study site, not the Association of Social Work Boards and not the National Association of Social Workers — those are two separate organisations, neither of which we speak for. For anything official, contact ASWB through aswb.org.

Can you tell me if I passed, or whether I am eligible?

No — and we would be doing you a disservice if we tried. Your score and your official result come from ASWB and your licensing board; your eligibility for a level in your state or province is set by that board. Those offices hold the real, current record. We only make the practice you study with.

Something in a question looks wrong. Will you actually fix it?

Yes, and reports like that are the emails we most want. Send the question or the page, why you think it is off, and a source if you have one. Real errors get corrected; where an answer is defensible, we will explain the reasoning back to you.

Do you offer tutoring, coaching or a pass guarantee?

No. We build free practice questions and an iOS app, not a coaching service — and no honest resource, ours included, can guarantee a pass or hand you the real exam's questions. Treat any “official” or “guaranteed” claim, from anyone, as marketing.

What happens to my email?

We use it to answer you, and that is all — we do not sell it or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for. If your message includes a screenshot or a detail about your studying, it goes no further than the person writing you back.
